We are now back in New Zealand for good.

Chile was a little boring compared to the amazing Peru trip we had.
Both of us are going to start looking for jobs now so if you know of anyone needing a SAP consultant/computer geek let me know!

For the last few weeks we have been travelling around the country. We managed to clock up 2200 miles and have been saying goodbye to my family before we go back to New Zealand.

After our crazy Russian trip we are back in London for two days which is just enough to repack for our UK tour. The plan is to do a 2000 mile loop of Scotland and England in the next two weeks before we leave Britain for good.

While in London we spent the day with Susan’s cousin Karen in the Tate café. Later we had dinner with Alex and Anna for Alex’s Birthday and got a few night shots of Tower Bridge.
Quite nice to be back in an English speaking country again. In fact Susan was saying how much she liked the tube and Marks and Spenser’s on the way back from Gatwick.

We are packing our flat up at the moment. It’s been crazy trying to set rid of stuff. We ended up sending four boxes home and we still have a few car loads of stuff.
It’s amazing how you end up with so much junk, however Susan is part Scottish.

April 2004: Left New Zealand for the UK each with a tramping pack each one piece of carry on luggage
May 2004: Left Bath for our one bedroom flat in Bristol with just over one Peugeot 205 car load of stuff
June 2006: Move from one bed flat to 3 bedroom house with approximately 7 Renault Clio car loads of stuff. (Don’t ask me how)
August 2007: Move to London 1 white van and 2 car loads of stuff. Staying in a bigger flat had taken its toll.

Now we are busy trying to figure out if our junk is good enough to send to New Zealand

Going home finally!
After 4 years in the UK it’s time to go home. Susan’s visa is almost finished so it seems like a good time to go back. We were thinking about going back via China but in the end I won and we are going via the Inca Trail in Peru.
Sweet!

So hopefully we will be back in the land of the long white cloud by the end of May.
